Illegal segment code

Symptoms​

You get the following message:

[Autodesk Build Error] ValidationException: Category not found - illegal segment code.

Causes​

You have a charater length set on your budget segment in Autodesk, and trying to sync a segment value that's different.

For example, if the Cost Class segment is set to have a Number of characters of 1 as shown below, and you try to sync the code 03 to it, you will hit this error:

How to fix​

Change the character limit to be "Flexible" instead or change the cost code / type you are trying to sync into Autodesk.
