Cost Code and Cost Type Required
Symptoms
When pushing Budget Line Items from Autodesk Build to Sage 300 CRE, you get the error message: Errors with cost_code_id: The cost code id field is required. Errors with cost_type_id: The cost type id field is required.
Causes
- The Budget Line Item in Autodesk is missing a Cost Code or Category (type)
- Sage 300 CRE automatically creates $0 Budget Line Items for every possible Category/Cost Code combination. If the item synced does not have both a valid Cost Code and Category, this error occurs.
How to fix
Add missing Cost Code and Category in Autodesk Build
- Open the Budget Line Item in Autodesk Build.
- Ensure both Cost Code and Category fields are populated.
- Save the Budget Line Item and retry the sync
Apply a Filter
If you do not want $0 Budget Line Items to Sync:
- Contact your Agave implementation manager.
- Request to apply a $0 filter for syncing Budget Line Items from Sage 300 CRE to Autodesk
