Cost Projections (Forecast Estimates)
Agave Sync allows you to sync Procore Cost Projections to Sage Intacct Forecast Estimates.
Each sync writes every budget line in your configured Procore Budget View to a single Sage Intacct Job Estimate, so the estimate total reflects the project's full projected cost at completion.
Agave Sync only supports syncing Cost Projections to Sage Intacct Estimates with a workflow type of Forecast.

Prerequisites
Sync Projects (Jobs), Cost Codes, and Cost Types first. Each estimate entry is written against a Job, Task, and Cost Type in Sage Intacct.
In Sage Intacct, an Estimate Type with a Workflow Type of Forecast must be configured under Jobs → Setup → Job Estimates → Types.
Projection Date
You can specify the projection date that Agave sends to Sage Intacct using the "Projection Date" input. This will apply to all selected Cost Projections when syncing.
This is useful for backdating your projections to the end of the previous month (or another date) if your users take a few days to enter their EOM projections. Work with your Agave rep to define an automation cadence that works with your process.
For automatic syncs, daily or more frequent cadences use the current date. Less frequent cadences use your account's monthly posting date preference — Last Day of Previous Month, First Day of Current Month, or Last Day of Current Month.
Projection Calculation
Agave takes the Estimated Cost at Completion from Procore and writes it to the Amount on each Sage Intacct estimate entry. This is a total-at-completion figure — the full expected cost of the line over the life of the job, including costs already incurred — rather than a remaining cost to complete.
By default, Procore's Cost Projections include pending costs. You can change this calculation by configuring your Budget and Forecasting views in Procore.
Work with your Agave rep to take advantage of two settings for customizing this calculation:
- Budget View (required) - Sets the Budget View that Agave will pull the Cost Projection from
- Budget Column - Sets the column that Agave pulls the estimated cost at completion from. By default, this is set to
Estimated Cost at Completion
If you would rather forecast on a remaining-cost basis, the Budget Column can be pointed at Forecast To Complete instead. Note that Sage Intacct estimates of other workflow types (Original, Revised) hold total costs, so a remaining-cost forecast will not be directly comparable to them.
How Projections Appear in Sage Intacct
Each sync writes to a Job Estimate whose Estimate ID combines the Job ID and the projection date — for example, OO0731-2026-07-31. If no estimate with that ID exists, Agave creates one. Every entry on that estimate carries a Workflow Type of Forecast.
Because the Estimate ID includes the date, each projection cycle produces its own estimate. A monthly cadence gives you one estimate per month, each a complete snapshot of the project's projected cost at completion, which makes month-over-month comparison straightforward.
Projections are created with a status of Posted.
Additional estimate header fields — posting period, estimate type name, estimate date, description, posted flag, and GL budget ID — can be configured account-wide by your Agave rep. These apply only when Agave creates a new estimate header; existing headers are never modified.
Common Errors and FAQs
Error: "Unbudgeted Cost Projections without a Cost Code and Cost Type cannot be synced"
Sage Intacct requires both a Task and a Cost Type on every estimate entry. Procore unbudgeted projections can arrive without a resolvable cost code or cost type, and are rejected rather than written incorrectly.
Assign a cost code and cost type to the line in Procore, then re-sync.
