Procore: Failed to translate WBS. This may be because the provided Cost Code is not nested under the provided Sub Job.

Symptoms

When pushing Job Costs, you get the error message: Procore: Failed to translate WBS. This may be because the provided Cost Code is not nested under the provided Sub Job.

Causes

  1. The expenses you are pushing may not be nested underneath a Sub Job in your Work Breakdown Structure.
  2. This often occurs if Cost Codes are pushed prematurely or without Sub Jobs enabled and synced. This then causes the Expenses to fail since the Cost Codes assigned to them are not in the context of a Sub Job.

How to fix

Delete downstream records.

  1. If you have records in Procore that are tied to Cost Codes without Sub Jobs, you'll have to delete Job Costs and Budget Line Items. You can do this using Agave's Delete function on the Procore side:
  2. Delete Cost Codes from Procore using the same functionality in Agave.

Resync Cost Codes, Budget Line Items, and Job Costs.

  1. To ensure the Cost Codes are nested under the Sub Job, check that there is a value in the Sub Job column on each Cost Code.
  2. Then, you can resync your Budget Line Items and Job Costs to Procore.
