Symptoms
When pushing a Budget Transfer to Procore, you get the error message: [Procore Error] Budget changes must have a balance of zero when the net-zero setting is enabled. Please adjust the amounts..
Causes
This error appears because the budget transfer you're trying to push does not have a balance of zero while your Procore project is configured to require net-zero budget changes.
How to fix
To resolve this error, you can either:
- Change your budget transfer to be net zero:
- In the source system, adjust your budget transfer so that it's net zero (i.e., the transfer isn't increasing or decreasing the total value of your budget)
- Adjust your settings in Procore to allow non net-zero budget changes
- In Procore, go to Project Tools > Budget > Budget Settings
- Uncheck the "Require net zero Budget Change amounts" box
- Retry syncing
