Project Templates in Procore

Project Template Overview

Project Templates allow you to save common project configurations in Procore. You can set a default template for all new Procore projects created through Agave Sync, saving time on repetitive tasks such as:

  • Adding users & setting permissions
  • Enabling which tools are active on the project
  • Adding vendors to your project directory
  • Setting up your Work Breakdown Structure

For more information, see Procore's docs: What is a Project Template?, Configure a Project Template, Apply a Project Template to a New Project.

Project Template Configuration Checklist

For Agave Sync, we recommend setting up at least the following settings in your template:

  • Active Tools - The Procore functionality that will be enabled by default in every project.
  • Project Directory (Users) - Ensure the users that will need access to every project are added with the proper permissions.
  • Project Directory (Companies) - Ensure the Companies ("Vendors") that are commonly used on your projects are added to the directory.
  • Work Breakdown Structure - Ensure your company's standard cost codes and other segments are included on the template.

If you do not have a Project Template in your Procore instance, you may need to request it.
