Syncing from Procore to QuickBooks Desktop
Add Custom Field for "Customer" to Procore Projects
To enable syncing Projects from Procore to QuickBooks Desktop, you will need to add a Customer to the Project. To add a Customer to the Project:
Step 1: Create a Custom Field titled "Customer"
From the Company Portfolio page, select Company Tools --> Admin:
Select Fieldset under Project Settings on the right-hand navigation bar:
Select the Custom Fields tab, and then press Create Custom Field:
Enter "Customer" as the Field Name, and select "Company" as the Field Type:
Return to the Fieldsets tab, and press Create New. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and enable Customer as a field and make it Required. Then press Save:
Step 2: Sync a Customer from QuickBooks Desktop to Procore
First, you will want to make sure you have a QuickBooks Desktop Customer that you can reference in the Project:
Here is an example of a Customer that I have synced that I will reference in the Project I export to QuickBooks Desktop:
Step 3: Add QuickBooks Desktop Customer to Project Directory
To add a Customer to the Project Directory, select Project Tools --> Directory. Select the Companies tab, and press Bulk Add from Co. Directory:
Select the Customer you previously synced, and press Add to Project:
Step 4: Select Customer in Drop-down for "Customer" Custom Field
Go to Project Tools --> Admin:
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Customer from the Customer field. Press Update:
Step 5: Sync the Project
You will now be able to sync the Project to QuickBooks Desktop with the Customer reference:
The Project will be associated with the Customer in QuickBooks Desktop:
