Sync Interface
Agave Sync contains two types of pages:
- Admin Pages - For configuring the Sync tool and managing errors
- Data Pages - For syncing data between systems. Each data type has its own page
Admin Pages
Admin pages are located in the top left corner of the navigation:
Settings
The Settings page displays information about your sync configuration, including which data types/directions are enabled, automation settings, and more.
Configurations
A "Configuration" is a link betweeen one accounting system and one project management or field service system. The current configuration is displayed at the top, and you can switch between them using the dropdown:
The configuration selected on the settings page applies to all other pages in Agave Sync.
Data Mapping Table
The Data Mapping Table on the settings page displays all data types you have access to and the direction they can be synced. As a best practice, each data type should only be synced in one direction.
We frequently refer to the system that a data type originates from as the "source system" and the system it is pushed into as the "target system." Taking "Vendors" in the screenshot above as an example, Sage 100 Contractor is the "source system" and Autodesk Build is the "target system."
Other Settings
- Automation Settings - Enable automatic sync on a per data model basis. For more info, see our Automation Guide
- Default Project Template - Set a default project template on new projects synced through Agave. For more info, see our articles on Autodesk Build Project Templates and Procore Project Templates.
Logs & Errors
The Logs page contains an audit log of all actions taken within the Agave Sync configuration. You view logs by operator, data model, outcome (success or failure), and more. See logs article for more information
The Errors page lists all records with "unresolved errors", errors that have not been successfully synced since encoutering an error. See errors article for more information
Data Pages
Data Pages display all available records from the source system. In the Data Page table view, you can sort, filter, and examine your data before syncing.
Project vs Company-Level Data Types
There are two primary categories of data types in Agave Sync:
- Global (red box) - Shared across many or all projects in the company
- Per Project (blue box) - Specific to an individual project (e.g. transactions, commitments, costs)
Within the table on each page are the records of that data type that can be synced across systems. In the screenshot below, these are the records from Sage 100 (the "source" system) to Procore (the "target" system):
Per Project Records
For Per Project data types, select the Project that you want to sync data for:

Columns, Filters, and Sorting on Data Pages
Each data page has a number of tools for selecting and analyzing your data:
Columns
With the Columns dropdown, select which fields should be displayed in the table. As an example, select "Type" to view the Project Type in this view:
Now, Project Type is displayed in the table:
You can remove fields from the view by unchecking them in the same dropdown.
Filters
Filter which records are included in the view via the "Filters" dropdown:
Grey filters are those applied by Agave. These filters do not change (except via request to your Agave rep) and apply to automations as well.
You can add your own filters as well. Using Project Type as an example:
After applying the filter:
Note: Filters you set here will NOT apply to automated syncs.
Search
For finding individual records, you can search by name and number:
Sorting
Each column is sortable by clicking on the column name (or arrow):
You can alternate between a standard and reverse sort:
Export
Click the export button to download a CSV of the current table configuration. All columns, filters, and sorts will be applied.
